Welcome

If you are planning on attending an upcoming service here at South Side Baptist Tabernacle and you have a child from 0 to 3 we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your baby to our church. We want every parent who visits our church to feel that their infant or toddler will be safe. Because of that, we have some helpful information about our nursery listed below that we hope will answer any of your questions. Feel free to contact us if any question goes unanswered. Our goal is to give you the confidence that your infant or toddler will be safe and cared for, so you can enjoy the worship service.

Nursery Availability:

Our nursery is staffed with two qualified personnel every Sunday, Wednesday, and special service.

Information & Enrollment Card

In order to be aware of your child’s individual needs, we ask that all parents complete an enrollment card when visiting. This simply helps us in taking care of your child in the best possible way. Please answer all the questions and give any additional information that we may need to know in order to better care for your child.

Environment

The Nursery can often be the first impression a family has of our church. So, we provide a safe and clean environment. Each bed and toy are carefully cleaned and sanitized every week. We try to meet the needs of each child and give them the care and comfort required to ease your mind.

Illness & Diseases

For the safety of all our little ones, we do ask that you do not bring your child to the Nursery if he/she is sick. Remember, other children will be present, and they may become infected as well. Some signs of illness in a child are: unusual fatigue or irritability, coughing, sneezing, runny nose and eyes, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, inflamed mouth and throat, unusual drowsiness, loss of appetite, or hoarseness.

Alert System

For the well-being of our babies (and parents!), SSBT offers an alert system. When you bring your child to our Nursery, you will be given a pager and a tag. No one will be allowed to pick up your baby without presenting the pager and the tag to the Nursery personnel. This system is for the protection of your child.

If any problems occur while caring for your child during the service, your pager will vibrate. Simply come to the Nursery and present your assigned tag, and the Nursery personnel will inform you of the situation.

Nursery Location

As you enter the doors of our church, the Nursery can easily be located. The Nursery is labeled with a sign outside the door. It is the first door past the coat room.
